Meet Laura Burnham, M.A., CCC-SLP, TSSLD

Laura is a Speech-Language Pathologist (also known as a Speech Therapist) in New York City. She serves families across NYC and online with compassionate, evidence-based care.

With a Bachelor’s from the University of Vermont and a Master’s from St. John’s University, Laura combines deep clinical knowledge with advanced training including:

  • Licensed, board-certified pediatric Speech Therapist

  • Close to 10 years of experience supporting children in NYC as a Speech Therapist

  • DIR Floortime® certified (early childhood, developmental therapy)

  • PROMPT® trained (tactile speech cueing)

  • Early Reading Skills trained (The Reading SLP®)

She’s certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds New York licensure as both an Speech-Language Pathologist and a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).

Laura believes strong relationships are at the heart of meaningful progress. Her sessions weave together speech and language goals with play, movement, and sensory support for a "whole-child" approach. Parents are always part of the process.

Now in private practice, Laura brings warmth, professionalism, and developmental insight to every session. She lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with her husband and loves serving families in the community she calls home.

Meet Rena Ali, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSSLD

Rena is a speech and feeding therapist here in New York City. She works with families across NYC and online, emphasizing holistic and evidence-based practices.

She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and her Master of Science from the University of Washington, where she started her career in Seattle, WA. She has extensive experience working with children birth to five and loves getting to work with children and their families during this important developmental stage.

Throughout her career, Rena has deepened her clinical experience and knowledge with advanced training including:

  • Licensed, board-certified pediatric Speech and Feeding Therapist

  • SOS Approach to Feeding Training

  • Feeding Fundamentals SOFFI (Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants) Training

Rena understands that a strong connection between child and family is at the heart of development and growth. She supports speech and feeding goals with an emphasis of increasing shared joy around these skills and routines.

With extensive experience in early childhood development, Rena brings experience, curiosity, and openness into all her sessions. She lives in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn and feels lucky to get to serve families in her own community.
